Surprise party invitation templates
Keep the plans for your covert celebration between you and your guests with a surprise birthday party invitation from Paperless Post. We’ll help by making the process simple with well-crafted designs and guest management tools for tracking attendees. You’ll be able to send private and group messages to let everyone know to keep their lips sealed before the big reveal. Signal that your online invitation is for their eyes only with tongue-in-cheek redaction stripes or a design with a giant "SHH" printed in a bold font. For a theme with a more traditionally festive style, you'll find invitation templates featuring candles, sealed lips, and champagne.
Planning a surprise birthday party
There’s lots to take into account when planning a birthday party but it all starts with a creative invitation template—thankfully we have plenty of those. A surprise party is an ideal way to ring in a golden birthday and it's easily done with online invitations featuring foil-stamped designs embellished with flashy details. If you're throwing a surprise milestone birthday party, our playful themes with vibrant colors and bold text will catch everyone’s attention and set the tone for an epic bash. Make sure guests know who they're celebrating with a photo invitation that puts the honoree center stage.
How do you make surprise birthday party invitations online?
Once you've chosen the theme for your surprise party, use our tools to finalize the details. Play around with our Page Styles to pick out your preferred font and then add a digital backdrop and a coordinated envelope and liner. Our ready-to-go birthday invitations come pre-worded, but you can customize them to your heart's content. Just don’t forget to make it clear it's a surprise and that guests will need to keep the confidential info under wraps.
When do you send online surprise party invitations?
Send your surprise party invites at least four weeks before the date. That will give people enough leeway to book travel plans or free up their busy schedules. To keep your party a secret, design your invitation while the honoree is occupied and then pick a date for your creatively crafted invites to be automatically sent under the radar—they won’t suspect a thing.
Hosting a surprise birthday party
After you've finished customizing your surprise party invitation template, start by assembling a guest list of your best co-conspirators. You'll find past party attendees in the online address book or you can import names from your phone contacts using our mobile app. Send messages individually or in bulk to keep attendees up to date on logistics, event changes, or to assign party duties (like keeping the honoree busy while you set up!). With Paperless Post, your birthday party will go off without any unforeseen surprises, except, of course, the one you planned for.
