Paris Hilton is—obviously—a woman who needs no introduction. Whether you’ve been following her career since the flip-phone selfie Hollywood club nights of the 2000s or have been recently inspired by the advocate, mom, and business mogul she’s become, Paris Hilton is an undeniable and multifaceted cultural phenomenon who brings joy, positivity, and sparkle to everything she does. That is hot.

You may think that being a multi-hyphenate pop star, DJ, mom-of-two, trendsetter, activist, and business boss babe would leave little time for things like hosting parties. But don’t forget, we’re talking about the original party girl here. Forever glamorous and always aspirational, we could think of no one better than Paris Hilton to bring our new collection of digital invites to life. Designed for the most iconic nights ever—from birthdays to bachelorette parties and everything in between. When asked how she would sum up the collection, Paris replies: “Iconic. Effortlessly glam. Totally sliving.”

We recently spoke with Paris about the inspiration behind her new invitation collection for Paperless Post, her tips for hosting a Paris-approved party, and how to truly embrace the philosophy of sliving. Read on for our full conversation with Paris Hilton—then get ready to host the party of the year that will leave guests simply saying, “Loves it.”

Y2K vibes meets sliving mom energy

Paris Hilton contains multitudes, which is why we wanted to create a collection that truly captures her impressive range—the Paris Hilton for Paperless Post collection marks our very first partnership that spans both Card and Flyer invitations. Whether you’re planning an elevated cocktail party and want the formal look of classic stationery, or hosting a casual girls’ night and looking for a fun, digital vibe you can easily text the group chat—Paris has you covered.

What about this collection are you most excited aboutA photo of Paris Hilton wearing a pink outfit and holding a pink purse in front of cursive text reading ‘It’s chic, it’s playful, and it’s definitely not boring.’ and Paris’s signature.

I am SO excited about this collection because it’s literally everything I love in one place—glamour, sparkle, fun, and that iconic hot pink energy. It’s chic, it’s playful, and it’s definitely not boring.

What influences and inspirations went into the invitation designs?

It’s everything that inspires me—old Hollywood glamour mixed with a very now, very digital-girl energy. I was thinking about those iconic early 2000s party moments, the butterfly motifs, the rhinestones, the dreamy pinks and golds. But also my life now as a mom, an entrepreneur, a DJ—it’s elevated but still super fun. I wanted every invite to feel like you’re being invited to THE party of the year, because honestly, every party should feel like that.

Which Flyer invite from your collection are you excited to send first?

I’m dying to send the most sparkly, over-the-top pink one first, like the super cute “Powered by cocktails and glitter” design. And I’m loving the “Icon in training” design for one of London’s birthday bashes. There’s something about hitting send on a stunning invite that just immediately builds excitement. My guests are going to screenshot it and post it; I just know it. When the invite slays, the party slays.

What feeling do you hope guests will have when they receive an invite from your collection?

I want that immediate flutter of excitement—like the kind you get when you realize something amazing is about to happen. Whether you’re sending it or receiving it, I want it to feel like a little gift. A moment of joy before the party even begins. That’s the whole magic of a beautiful invitation.

How to party like Paris Hilton

We all remember gazing enviously at photos from Paris’ legendary (and so sparkly) 21st birthday, so of course we had to know: How does she pull off the most awe-inspiring events, from multi-night birthday ragers to adorable kids’ birthday parties? If you’re looking for advice on hosting a party—with or without a dress code that involves Swarovski crystals—look no further.

What are three pieces of advice for hosting a Paris Hilton-approved party?

Flowers, candles, and great lighting cost nothing compared to the atmosphere they create. Do those three things, and you’re basically already sliving.

What inspires you to host?

I love bringing people together. There’s something so beautiful about creating a space where people connect, laugh, and make memories. I grew up watching my mom host these incredible gatherings, and I absorbed all of it. Hosting is an act of love. It’s saying: I want to celebrate you, I want to celebrate life, I want to create something magical together. That never gets old for me.

How do you approach hosting parties for your kids vs. for yourself?

Kids’ parties are honestly just as extra as my grown-up parties—maybe even more! With Phoenix and London, it’s all about creating wonder. The characters, the bouncy castles, the cake that looks like a work of art—I go all in because childhood is so precious and those memories last forever. For my own parties, it’s more about the vibe and the people—sophisticated but still really, really fun. The common thread is always love and intention. Both types of parties are a full-on production in this house!

Tell us about the most memorable party you’ve hosted

Honestly, there have been SO many iconic nights—it’s hard to pick just one. But I have to say my 21st birthday party was just insane—like a fairytale mixed with a club. I wore the most incredible dress, and so many people I loved were there. But honestly, some of my most treasured memories are the birthday parties for Phoenix and London. Getting to be a kid again is the best part of being a mom!

Describe your absolute dream party

Okay, dream party: we’re on a private island or maybe in Malibu—somewhere where the ocean is right there, and the sunset is literally perfect. The guest list is intimate but fierce—my closest friends, a few icons, and obviously my husband Carter and our babies. The menu is all my favorites: truffle pasta, sushi, the most gorgeous charcuterie boards, and a dessert table that looks like a pink cloud exploded. We’re listening to whatever I’m spinning, and the dress code is obviously glamorous—sequins, feathers, heels, the works. That’s sliving.

What are your top 3 do’s and don’ts for hosting an iconic party?

DO: Obsess over the details—the flowers, the lighting, the playlist, the signature cocktail. Details are everything.

DO: Make every single guest feel like a boss babe the moment they walk in; first impressions set the vibe.

DO: Have fun yourself!

DON’T: Neglect the music—a bad playlist can kill any party instantly.

DON’T: Overplan and stress yourself out. Leave room for spontaneous, magical moments.

DON’T: Forget the lighting! Harsh overhead lighting is a party’s worst enemy. Candles and warm string lights are always the answer.

Party trends: What’s hot and what’s not

Paris Hilton’s influence is undeniable—and it’s given us countless fabulous fashion moments and trends. From pink velour tracksuits and furry boots to trucker hats, tiny dogs in tow, and absolutely anything decked out in bling: Paris has always been a trendsetter. Not to mention, she practically invented the selfie! So of course, we had to get the insider scoop—what’s next?

What are your trend predictions for the next year? What trends are absolutely out?

I am so excited about the return of maximalism—more is more. Big jewels, bold colors. I think we’re going to see a huge resurgence of event dressing, like people really showing up for dinner parties the way they used to. On social media, I feel like authentic, unfiltered storytelling is having a major moment—people want real, even when it’s luxurious and polished. What’s OUT? Trying too hard to be ironic or cool in a way that’s actually just cold and disconnected. Warmth and joy are in. Detachment is very, very out.

Are there any trends from past eras you hope make a comeback? Any you hope never return?

Early 2000s fashion was so fun, and I think we’re already seeing that revival in full swing. What I hope NEVER comes back: those very severe, overly structured looks that make you look unapproachable. Fashion should be fun and inviting.

The balancing act of a boss babe

While Paris Hilton lives a uniquely glamorous life, many of us can relate to the challenging balancing act of it all. Whether you’re a working mom or an aspiring DJ (or both!), how does one actually manage to balance everything… and in hot pink heels, no less?

How do you balance being a ‘sliving mom’ and a cultural icon who can also party the night away?

LEFT: A photo of Paris Hilton and her two children in a ball pit filled with white, pink, and purple balls. RIGHT: A photo of Paris Hilton wearing a white elegant gown.

It took me a while to realize I didn’t have to choose—I can be both, and that duality is actually my superpower. When I’m in mom mode, building blanket forts and reading bedtime stories, I am soaking up every single second. When I’m DJing or hosting, I’m in that iconic mode, fully alive on stage. The key is presence—wherever I am, I try to be ALL the way there. And honestly, being a mom has made every other part of my life more meaningful. When I come home after a big show, and my baby smiles at me, that’s the real sliving moment right there.

What’s the best way to truly embrace the art of sliving?

Sliving is my philosophy and my love language! It’s living your best life and slaying at the same time. To truly sliv, you have to stop caring what other people think and just go for it—wear the bold outfit and throw the elaborate party. It’s also about balance: being a boss, being present for your family, taking care of yourself, and still making time to celebrate. Sliving isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being fully, unapologetically alive.
