Reconceptualizing Writing Instruction

Professor Heather Willis Allen of UW Madison will lead a workshop on "Reconceptualizing Writing Instruction in Collegiate Language Courses: Toward a Design Approach." In this workshop, we will explore beliefs and practices related to writing in a second language; examine insights from research on the skills and knowledge necessary to write effectively in another language; explore an integrated pedagogy for L2 instruction; and reflect on how to integrate this approach into our own teaching.
