About the Event

The Permanent Observer Mission of the University for Peace
in collaboration with
The Permanent Mission of Costa Rica to the United Nations

invite you to a panel discussion as we explore how data travels, the role of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), and data governance to understand how cross-sectoral solutions can foster a free press and broader access to information.

Join us as we, together, outline the challenges and establish the frameworks needed to protect freedom of expression, with attention to the rights and regulations of all people and systems involved!

Please use Visitor's Entrance on United Nations Plaza (1st Avenue) between 45th and 46th Street.

Conference Room #8

A University for Peace representative will be outside between 3:00pm and 3:45pm to hand you your temporary pass.

To guarantee entrance, please be sure to:

  • Bring your government-issued ID
  • Arrive 3:15 and 3:30pm
