In the month of love, let's show some love for Houston by volunteering our time as a group to help Houston's Rescued Pets Movement (RPM). If you aren't familiar with this organization, read the link (it's super cool!)... but in simple terms they help save and re-home dogs and cats from Houston's over-capacity facilities and partner with organizations in the NW US and Canada who have a demand for adoptable pets. They are always looking for volunteers and we are excited to show them what our Montana Tech Alumni in the Houston area can do to help!

What will you be doing?
There are no shortage of things RPM could use our help with. Tasks could include dog walking, photo taking (to help the get adopted!), food bagging, and cleaning among other things.

What should I wear?
Long pants and closed-toed shoes are required. Ladies can wear leggings but you do run the risk of them getting torn or ripped if a dog jumps on you (can you blame them, they are excited for some love)

Can children participate?
Minors cannot handle the animals but can help out with the many other tasks they need assistance with. Just make sure you note the number of minors on the RSVP and ages so we can give RPM a heads up.
