Your Post Box

Your Post Box

Your Post Box on Paperless Post stores all of your sent and received invitations and cards, as well as any drafts you are currently working on. The menu next to an item in your Post Box will help you navigate to what you need within that mailing you have stored (i.e., the "Edit Design" option in your Sent folder will take you directly to edit the design of your invitation or card).

To access your Post Box, click "[Your Name]'s Post Box" in the top navigation bar, or select a specific folder in the Post Box menu to navigate directly to that folder:

The Sent Folder

Any cards or invitations that you have sent out will always be stored in the "Sent" folder of your Post Box. They will remain there until you choose to delete them. To access this folder, hover your mouse over "[Your Name]'s Post Box" in the top navigation bar, and click on the word "Sent." Or, once in your Post Box, use the links in the left panel to navigate.

The Received Folder

If you receive a card or invitation from a friend to the email address you have on your Paperless Post account, it will be stored in the "Received" folder within your Post Box until you choose to delete it. To access this folder, hover your mouse over "[Your Name]'s Post Box" in the top navigation bar, and click on the word "Received." Or, once in your Post Box, use the links in the left panel to navigate.

The Archive Sub-Folders

The Archive sub-folders are located inside your Sent and Received folders. Each Archive stores any cards or invitations that you would like to save but keep separate from items in the other folders. Cards or invitations will remain in the Archive folders until you choose to delete them. To access these folders once you are in either Sent or Received, click the "Archive" link in the left panel of your Post Box.

To move an item into an Archive folder, open up the folder that the item is currently stored in, and use the menu to the right of the item to choose "Move to Archive."

To move an item out of an Archive folder back to its original folder, open up the Archive folder that the item is currently stored in, and use the menu to the right of the item to choose "Restore to Sent/Received."

The Drafts Folder

All drafts that you have started working on will be saved in your Drafts folder of your Post Box after you click the Save or the Done button in the design tool. When designing an invitation or card, if you do not see a "Saving..." dialogue box at any point, your draft has not been saved. To access this folder, hover your mouse over "[Your Name]'s Post Box" in the top navigation bar, and click on the word "Drafts." Or, once in your Post Box, use the links in the left panel to navigate.

The Trash Folder

The Trash folder within your Post Box stores any cards or invitations that you no longer wish to keep. To access this folder, hover your mouse over "[Your Name]'s Post Box" in the top navigation bar, and click on "Trash." Or, once in your Post Box, use the links in the left panel to navigate.

To move an item into the Trash, open up the folder of the Post Box that it is currently stored in, and use the menu to the right of the item to choose "Move to Trash."

To move an item out of the Trash folder back to its original folder, open up the Trash, and use the menu to the right of the item to choose "Move back to Sent/Received."

Items in the Trash will only be deleted permanently if you open up the Trash folder itself and use the menu to the right of the item to choose "Delete Permanently." Please note that recipients of any cards or invitations that you have sent and either moved to the Trash or deleted permanently will still be able to access the invitations/cards sent to them. Links to cards/invitations will never be broken for your recipients.

Will you save my draft until I'm ready to send it in a couple weeks?

Yes, if you complete your card and save the design, then the draft will remain in your account until you are ready to send. It will be in the Drafts folder of your Post Box.

I have sent out a mailing. How do I send to additional recipients and avoid resending to existing recipients?

For Invitations and Save the Dates, you may send to your guests at any time leading up to the event. For Announcements, you may send to your recipients at any time you wish. If you have already sent out a mailing but wish to send out more to new contacts, take the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the Delivery page of your mailing (from the Sent folder of your Post Box, use the menu to the right of your mailing to choose "Send to more Guests/Recipients").
  2. Add your new recipients to the guest (or recipient) list. They should appear on the guest/recipient list with a black "unsent" tag to the right of their names.
  3. Click the "Send to All New Guests/Recipients" button on the top right of the list. This will send new invitations or cards to any "unsent" (newly added) contact. No previously sent to recipient will receive a duplicate invitation or card.
