This position entails working between the product and development teams to design beautiful, clean and functional UI. It is ideal for a designer with previous experience designing for the web at a consumer internet company or creative agency.

Specific Skills:

  • Experience designing for the web using Fireworks or Photoshop
  • Ability to create vector icons using Illustrator
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript
  • Specific UX experience a plus

Web Developer

Ideal for someone who knows Ruby, Ruby on Rails, jQuery. This position includes working on small feature teams, in many different areas of the code, and constantly releasing features that many people use.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing new features written both in Ruby and Javascript
  • Developing maintainable software through various methods, from peer reviews to writing automated tests
  • Ability to communicate well to all members of the technical team and product manager

Infrastructure Developer

This position will involve building tools that will enhance the functionality of the background components of the site in addition to helping to optimize the performance of a rapidly growing startup.  You will be working with a team that can produce impactful features in short periods of time, and has fun doing it.

Product Manager

This position is ideal for someone with previous experience as a product manager in a consumer web company. It entails coordinating disparate groups, such as developers, designers, and artists towards the deployment of new products.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the product life cycle, from creative concept, to release
  • Coordinate multiple teams, resources and timelines: art, development, production, UI, technical, etc.
  • Determine and analyze key success metrics
  • Initiate and prioritize projects within engineering and QA, track product development
  • Engage closely with engineering team and assist them in determining the best technical implementation methods
  • Own the product metrics and responsibility for the ultimate success and growth of the product
  • Have knowledge of the competitive and industry landscape

Qualifications:

  • Proven results and metrics in past experiences
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills; attention to detail

Project Manager

This position is ideal for a recent college graduate interested in learning about how to build and grow consumer web applications. A project manager should be detail oriented, a good communicator, and have some background in web development.

  • Presenting problems to the development team

Intern

This person would help with a set of major initiatives. The ideal internship candidate will fulfill the following requirements:

Responsibilities

There will be several projects, many associated with customer research and relations, User Interface testing, and User Interface feedback. Opportunities to get involved with the visual design and editorial aspects of the company are also possible. This is a general purpose internship, with exposure to many parts of the company, and is best suited for somebody with a strong work ethic who will embrace all assignments that come his or her way.

Qualifications

  • Internet savvy — you don't need to be a software engineer, but you do need to use the web a lot
  • Possess basic skills in Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Excel
  • Self-starter who requires little direction
  • Problem-solver and big thinker
  • Responsible and detail oriented
  • Confident on the phone and in person in a professional setting
  • Able to work in our office — located on West 25th Street in Manhattan — Monday through Friday, from 10am to 6pm.

Helpful but not Mandatory

  • Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop
  • Have a laptop that you can bring in everyday

Analytics Engineer

Ideal for someone who loves data and is eager to drive actionable business insights from a deep and growing database. This person will partner closely with the head of Business Strategy and the Technology team to lead the implementation and maintenance of Paperless Post's Business Intelligence strategy as well as derive more from the tools the Company already has in place.

Responsibilities

• Together with the Head of Business strategy this person will lead the Company's BI strategy and implementation
• Responsible for data warehousing and data quality
• Work with the business team to measure, analyze, and report on key metrics
• One-off analytics projects
• Build resources and tools that encourage all members of the Company to measure, analyze and report on the efficacy of new and existing products/initiatives</p>

Qualifications

• A B.S. or B.A. in computer science or quant focused major and relevant engineering experience
• Experience with large data sets, data warehousing, 
• An obsession with data quality
• Excellent communication and ability to work collaboratively (this role will touch every part of the business)
• An understanding of the Ruby a plus
